The Standards Portal provides a structured reference view of standards and regulations relevant to CHARSTAN workflows across medical devices, software, laboratory, quality, pharma, and governance domains.

The SoA maps selected standards and control areas to CHARSTAN's implemented workflows, governance structures, ownership, and supporting evidence references. It identifies which requirements are applicable, partially applicable, informational, or not applicable, and records the rationale, ownership, and evidence.

CHARSTAN uses AI to support extraction, summarization, recommendations, and workflow assistance. These capabilities are assistive only and are not intended to autonomously finalize regulated records, legal interpretations, or accountable compliance decisions without explicit human review and action.

Data integrity in CHARSTAN is supported through attributable actions, timestamp integrity, controlled review-before-apply flows, version awareness, and auditable workflow records. Integrity is treated as both a technical and governance responsibility, aligned to ALCOA+ principles.

CHARSTAN supports privacy-conscious handling of sensitive and regulated information through access controls, disclosure mechanisms, redaction support, and governance-aware workflow design. Jurisdiction-specific obligations should always be reviewed with appropriate legal and compliance teams.

CHARSTAN's posture is designed around defense-in-depth, resilience, and governance readiness. This includes support for role-based access, auditability, remediation tracking, restoration awareness, and notification preparedness. It does not imply that any digital environment is risk-free or exempt from ongoing review.

The Governance Center contains reviewable policy documents supporting AI use, data integrity, privacy handling, disclosure controls, and standards applicability. Documents may exist in draft, under-review, active, or archived states as part of the governance lifecycle.

CHARSTAN supports region-aware review of governance and compliance posture across the United States, European Union, Canada, Brazil/LATAM, Australia, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, and other outside-US contexts. Regional obligations may vary by industry, workflow, hosting model, and data type.
